Basket Calculator

Basket Calculator is a service that validates shopping baskets by calculating conditional promotions and applying loyalty program rules. It can be used to validate transactions originating from the POS application, self-scanning mobile app, and e-commerce platform, ensuring a consistent customer experience across all sales channels.

Self-scanning in a traditional store

In a traditional store equipped with cashier-operated or self-service checkouts, customers using a self-scanning app can pay either directly within the app using a registered payment card, or at a checkout. In the former case, an electronic receipt is provided to the customer.

A checkoutless store

When a customer enters the store, a barcode is generated in their mobile app. The barcode is then scanned to open the entrance gate. After scanning all purchased items, the customer completes the payment within the app and opens the exit gate using a new barcode confirming the transaction. An electronic receipt is then generated and made available in the app.
